Although the Farm School Math Program, Patterns in Arithmetic, was developed before "Common Core" and other current states curriculum mandates, there are lessons that correlate with specific standards. Our math series fulfills some of the Common Core Standards.

Nonstandard breaking up for division and subtraction, and nonstandard measurement, for example, are lessons in this developmental sequence that are not generally found in other programs.

Common Core asks you not to teach the standard procedure for division in third and fourth grades.  Learn to use manipulatives to build models, and use many methods to create solutions to long division problems. Teachers have told us they are having a difficult time finding materials to fulfill these requirements.  Our unique approach has lessons that accomplish this.  Individual booklets can be used as a supplement.  Below are listed the standards a booklet covers.
